TED Talks for personal growth

Tough feelings like Regret, Vulnerability and the almost endless feeling of not good enough-ness are inevitable companions to doing something new. I feel them all the time. And I often try to hide it, mask it, reserve it only for the extra special in my circles, and/ or believe I can solve it on my own.

These days I’m taking on a new philosophy.

Here are some TED talks that I’ve enjoyed watching over and over during those moments when I need a day or two of guidance, a spoon, and two jars of guava jelly and peanut butter to help me survive the grind.

On Vulnerability

You are imperfect, you are wired for struggle and you are worthy of love and belonging

On Regret

Regret doesn’t remind us that we did badly — it reminds us that we know we can do better.

On Choosing Happiness & Work

not just glean information about the average, but glean information on how to move the average up… the absence of desease is not health

NOTE: Pretty sure that wasn’t the best quote, but he jus ttalks so fast you should just spend 12 mins watching the whole thing.

Anyhoot, it’s always a struggle to practice. Which is why reminders are good, and writing is always helpful. Personal accountability. More soon on Education, Business, and General Inspiration. Any other TED recommendations that changed your life?
